In order to increase the accessibility of Spidersweb.nl for an international audience, I made a clear choice creating my web site a few years ago to make it bilingual: in Dutch and in the English language.

To optimize this accessibility furthermore ( Spidersweb has 250 pages at this moment ), I have added a translation tool now that is able to translate text or entire web pages to and from a number of the most important world languages. Especially for those, who do not ( or hardly ) master the English language.

With the help of this tool interested readers are able to translate the English-language pages of the web site into 8 different languages namely: Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, Portugese and Spanish.
Qualitatively the translated text is not impeccable because the translation is literally ( and not grammatically ), but certainly clarifies its content.

From English to another language

The best results can be obtained in the following way:

• 1. First go to the English language page that you like to translate into one of the above mentioned 8 languages
• 2. Scroll to the bottom of this English language page to the Babelfish picture
  
  
  
  
  
• 3. Click on one of the 8 country flags inwhich language the page should be translated. The order of the language flags is:
  
                                           Chinese, German, Japanese, Korean
                                         French, Italian, Portugese and Spanish
  
  
  
  
  
• 4. The translated page will show up in a few seconds. Done !

From Dutch language page to English or French

Also the so far NOT in the English language translated pages in the Dutch language part of the web site ( accessible from the Dutch home page ) become legible in the English and French language through a few simple mouseclicks.

Proceed as follows:

• 1. Go to the Dutch language page that you like to translate into English or French
• 2. Scroll to the bottom of this Dutch language page to the Babelfish picture
• 3. Click on one of the 8 country flags ( which one is of no importance )

• 5. Click in the bottom part of this screen with the text 'Translate a Web page' on the unfold menu line 'select from and to languages' and select the translation option of your choice:
